About Us

Currently there are 45 children enrolled in the day school .There are 10 children who are housebound and get special care of physical therapy from the school on a weekly basis at home.

As the school does not have it’s own building it runs in a hall temporarily given by the local community leader which facility is also used by others sometimes disrupting the school schedule.

History

In 1989 a girl was born in the family of an industrial worker in an economically weak background. The little girl was not meeting the regular milestones and was declared a Downs Syndrome child. Sheetal’s older brother Ganesh was very fond of her and used to worry about her future. He soon discovered that there were other differently abled children in the same industrial colony who were just existing as their parents could not afford any special care for them.

It is then and there Ganesh Suryavanshi found his calling. In 2008 he completed a course in Special Education and decided to start a school singlehandedly for differently abled children. Siddhhi Vinayak Special School was launched in 2010. All the children were from very weak economic background from the industrial township.

Ganesh had a part time job in a special school in the city and used his own money to run his school. Soon his efforts were recognized by people in the city and he started garnering financial and other support from the people.

School has steadily grown as more and more children need this education.
